Storms
"Bad weather makes for good photography." - Ansel Adams
Stormy weather is our passion. We photograph it because we wish to express to others what we feel standing under the storm, whipped by the wind, and drenched by the rain. Add drama to your life, bring our storms into your home as art quality prints!

Low Level Rotation
Artist: Bill Reid
Rotating wall cloud near Chivington, Colorado, on May 26, 2019. Thunderstorms in eastern Colorado are notorious for being high-based with gusty outflow. But, if low-level moisture is adequate, a nice low cloud base and a wall cloud such as the one on this supercell are quite possible. We had a front-row seat to this storm base as it moved to the NNE, or from left to right in this view to the west. Strong rotation was evident and tornado development seemed to be more likely than not. Those who were hoping for a tornado with this storm wound up disappointed.
