Wicked Lightning - Limon Colorado

The air was still and the mosquitoes were biting like crazy when I took this photo near Limon Colorado back in July of 2014. The shutter was only open for a few seconds when this highly branched bolt of lightning was captured shortly after sunset. Near the center of the photo you can see where a distant windmill was struck by the long bolt that extended well to the east (right). You are looking north in this scene.
